Set Chrome as Default Browser on iPhone/iPad [HowTo]

As you probably already know, Google Chrome iOS app was released yesterday and is now available on the AppStore [download].
Many of you may wonder, why downloading a web browser into your iPhone if you can't open links on it through email, Twitter, Facebook and so on. Well, I'll tell you how to make Google Chrome your default web browser, yes you read it right, forget about Safari!
Note: Your iDevice must be jailbroken.

First of all, make sure you installed Chrome on your iPhone.
Now you'll need BrowserChooser. To install this you need to add http://rpetri.ch/repo/ to your sources.
Cydia > Manage > Sources > Edit > Add
After installing the source, search for BrowserChooser and install it.

So now you have all you need. Just follow these steps to change your default browser into Google Chrome.

—————————————————————

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down until you find BrowserChooser.

Step 3: Open it and then choose Chrome.

—————————————————————

That's it!
Now try it out. Open a link from your email/twitter/facebook or any other app to make sure Chrome opens it instead of Safari.
I tried it myself and it works perfectly on my iPhone, so if for any reason you can't do it, please leave a comment below and I'll try to figure out what you should do.

  3. This worked for me, but I had originally turned Safari off in the restrictions tab in settings so that I wouldn't have the safari badge on my phone. The problem is by doing that, regardless of what you have set as your default browser, links will not be active. You have to turn Safari back on under restrictions in order for it to work
